Whenever I read some sales copies, I wonder at how lying has become an acceptable strategy. Have you seen those offers that promise you a set and forget website for massive affiliate revenue?

It is true that affiliate marketing is about the most straightforward of all internet business models. However, it is not true that you can make enough to quit your day job without investing your time and money.

It takes time to write high value content that will show your expertise to prospects. It takes time to build trust and credibility. Why else do you think people send a lot of time writing and posting high value articles in article directories like this?

It takes time to research products that are worthy of your affiliation. It takes time to use the product and do an objective review of it from a user's perspective.

It takes time to build a list. Much before that, it takes time to build substantial traffic. It takes time convert that traffic into buyers. It takes time to build incoming links. It takes time to build a website that has enough high quality content pages.

Friend, it does take time. Anybody who tells you you can ever build a business that will never require tending is lying. All you can build is a business that requires low maintenance.

You can start making money within a month or even less but such will require skills, resource and commitment that are way beyond the average Joe.

Anything that suggests to you that you can make it online without breaking a sweat is a lie. And believing such lies can ruin your business especially if you're starting out and making "little" for your hard work.

Concentrate on building your affiliate business. Don't mind them. It will take some time. You'll have to sweat it. If you are told otherwise, it's a big lie.
