For instance, it is important to test the effect of a new cleaner on the wood surfaces in your bathroom before you begin to use them. If your children have decided to write their names or create works of art on your bathroom countertop, it can safely be removed simply by using hairspray. Simply spray the surface with the hairspray and then wipe it with a clean dry cloth.



Cleaning the bathtub is always a challenge, and it is important to use a water soluble cleanser with cleaning the tub. Using a cream based cleanser could cause an unsightly buildup on the surface of the bathtub.



Bathroom faucets should also be cleaned using a water soluble cleanser and a microfiber cloth. If needed, a mild detergent can be used to clean the faucets as well.



Cleaning the toilet can of course be one of the biggest challenges of any bathroom cleaning, and it is important to care for this important appliance carefully. For instance, many plumbers recommend against using those in-tank toilet cleaners, since they have been known to cause damage to the flush valve. It may be better to use a cleanser designed for in bowl use instead.



The toilet seat can be safely cleaned using a mixture of dishwashing liquid that has been diluted with clean water. It is important of course to clean the entire surface of the toilet, including the back of the toilet and the bowl.
