Website traffic article: Using Comments On Blogs To Add A Back Link To Your Site
Article Tips > Website traffic
As a website owner you are looking for ways in which to increase the amount of traffic that visits your site and the best way of doing this is by setting up inbound links to it through other sites and thus increasing your search engine page ranking.
One of the latest ways for effectively getting inbound links to your site without having to spend money is by adding a comment to a blog. The best thing about blogs is that they cover a multitude of subjects and there are loads out there, which are probably related to a particular site that you have set up. How do you go about finding these types of blogs? Well if you don’t want to spend time trawling through the various search engines such as Yahoo and Google looking for blogs then there are a number of software programs now available which take out all the bother of searching the Internet as they do it all for you.
Many of these programs have been set up with website marketing in mind and all you need do is enter some basic information and they will do the searches for you. One such tool is called Comment Hut and it is particularly good because of the simplicity of the program. All you do is enter a keyword that relates to your particular site and then ask it to carry out a search on any of the 5 blog platforms it covers for blogs that relate to this particular keyword or subject. Comment Hut also allows you to decide on what page rank the blogs you search for are, for example when you only want to look for those blogs which have a page ranking of 3 or higher.
Once the searches have been completed you can now look at the list of URL’s produced and see which one’s interest you the most and add relevant comments to them as you see fit.
The great thing about adding a comment to a blog is that you are getting an inbound link (back link) to your site without having to do the same in return for that blog. However it is important to remember that if you are not adding value with your comment to a blog then the owner of that blog may well consider it to be spam and either delete or backlist it. So therefore when posting a comment to a blog ensure that is something useful and appropriate to that particular site and don’t forget to include your website address for that all important back link to you.
